Mario Fregoni is Italy's most famous expert in viticulture, and has received recognition in Europe and around the world. A doctor of agricultural sciences, Mr. Fregoni has held the position of Honorary President of the International Organization of Vine and Wine for almost 30 years. The association has united all of the world’s winemaking countries.

He is a member of the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine and a professor of Italy's most famous agrarian University of Piacenza. Mr. Fregoni is also a full-time member of the International Academy of Wine in Switzerland.
